 What is 4 Stance Theory?
 

Have you had this type of question when you play golf?
・・・My coach says, "Grasp the club like wrapping it in your palm." however, I can hold it firmly with curling the club around my finger." ・・・
・・・Although I try to imitate the swing plain of Tiger Woods who is my idol, I can never do.  But I can imitate the swing of Jim Furyk."・・・
Answer; Both of your coach and you are right!
It is because both Woods and Furyk are playing golf with their right body motion and being the top of the golf world.

Every mankind is able to move his/her body similarly.  However, when you stand, walk, sit down,... and swing a golf club, although motions may look alike, details of motions are different (e.g.; angle of wrist, knee bending and extension).  The swing plane as well as the leg motion after finishing a ball impact is also different.

Everybody is born with his/her own characteristics of body movement, just like blood types, A, B, O, AB, ...
The characteristics are categorized in four types and they are A1, A2, B1, and B2. 
You are given one of the four types and cannot change your type to a different type by training.  Even if you think you have become able to move your body like a different type person does by sever long training, it is only a deception. The price of this deception would be injuries, failure and a slump.
If you are a B1 type person and have been instructed by the A1 type coach...
If the coach is an empiricist who forces you methods that he has developed based on his experiences...
Unfortunately, it must be said that an unhappy result is waiting for you.

It is important to discern your own type and learn particular characteristics of the type.
All babies know their own type.  Even if they do not understand the theory, babies can do only movements that fit to their own type.  Babies need not imitate others moves.
However, we the adults are different from babies. We have been living in a society for long years and learned to adapt with others.  We are made to imitate others without realizing.
Babies don't have big muscles. But, they demonstrate big power and quickness that making adults surprises.  They operate their body using their whole body frames effectively.

How wonderful it would be, if we can move our body according to our own type like babies can.
If we can always play around a golf course by the natural motion of our own, without being afflicted with external stress, we can really do enjoy golf. 
Let's find your 4-stance type and become your own self.
If you find your type and move your body accordingly, you can always concentrate on your golf, without feeling any stress. Nothing would interfere with your potential ability, and you can maximize your abilities to the extent possible.
